It’s no secret that hospitals across the world are struggling to cope with the increase in patients as a result of the coronavirus pandemic, and that supplies in many are running low.

That’s a problem Kylie Jenner is trying to solve – at least in her home city of Los Angeles – by donating $1 million from her fortune to help hospitals in the Californian city battle against the pandemic.

The news was shared by Jenner’s doctor, Dr Thaïs Aliabadi, who announced on her Instagram account that the 22-year-old cosmetics company owner/star of had donated the huge amount of money to help her and other doctors in the LA area buy masks, face shields and other protective gear.

On her post, Dr Allabadi was gushing with praise for her patient. She wrote: “I am speechless, my eyes are filled with tears of joy and my heart is overwhelmed with gratitude. I made a wish to the Universe to gather protective masks for our brave healthcare workers and today my dream came true.

“One of my patients, a beautiful Living Angel just donated $1,000,000 to help us buy hundreds of thousands of masks, face shields, and other protective gear which we will have delivered directly to our first responders, as too many masks at hospitals are disappearing before making their way onto the faces of our front line heroes.

“I have never felt more blessed to be a doctor, as helping our brave ER and ICU workers feels just as gratifying as helping my own patients. From the bottom of our hearts, THANK YOU. You are my hero. This generous donation will help save many precious lives. Our world is a better place with you in it. I love you so much. Thank you X a million….”

It’s nice to have some good news for a change, isn’t it? Whether this will stop people badmouthing the Kardashian family and their reality TV series remains to be seen, however.
