Unity Giving Away Tutorials, Learn Game Development For Free
With millions of us around the world now stuck inside as we fight back against the COVID-19 (coronavirus) pandemic, there’s never been a better time to dive into video games. But what if you don’t just want to video games? What if you want to come out of this lockdown with a brand new skill to show all your friends? Better yet – what if you have kids that you need to keep occupied and educated?
Unity Technologies might just have all the answers you’re looking for. The software company is giving away three months of access to Unity Learn Premium completely free. If you’re unfamiliar, Unity Learn Premium is a comprehensive library packed with detailed courses and tutorials that can instruct on almost every aspect of game design, from basic and advanced coding to art.

If you’ve ever wanted to try your hand at building your own game from scratch, or if you’ve kids who you’d like to have fun learn if possible, this is perfect. Unity has long been an incredible popular game engine for indie developers. Some of the best 2D and 3D titles of the last few years were all made with Unity, including , and .
That’s not to say you’d just be able to jump in and start making games with it, obviously. As is the case with any engine, there’s a to learn.
