'Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare' And 'Warzone' Updates Dropped Overnight With New Mode
Surprise! Infinity Ward decided to drop the delayed updates to and overnight. The new patch was supposed to go live on Tuesday (March 24th), but was pushed back for unknown reasons. The good news is that the update will went live at 6am this morning, and it even feature a little extra content than we originally knew about.
As we reported earlier in the week, players can expect a brand-new map and operator. First teased by Activision in the game’s Season Two roadmap, Khandor Hideout is a medium-sized arena that supports 6v6 matches and lots of different strategies.
Meanwhile, Talon is our shiny new operator. He comes with a fierce canine companion called Sasquatch, who will of course join you in battle. Talon will be available in a bundle that includes two Legendary weapon blueprints and two tier skips.

The free-to-play battle royale mode is also getting a few new weapons: The MK2 Carbine, .50 GS, EBR-14, and the controversial 725 shotgun. These new additions to the game’s arsenal should be available now, and I look forward to seeing how they change up the 150-player mayhem.
But we knew about all of that already. What’s exciting is that this slightly revised update will be introducing what sounds like a seriously frightening new twist on ‘s Infected mode. NVG Infected is a brand new multiplayer mode that traps you in the dark with a horde of Infected players.
The catch? Your night vision goggles have a limited power supply. The mode also features realism damage, so Infinity Ward has advised players to “make those headshots count”. Oh, and the Infected can see in the dark… so have fun with that.

While NVG Infected is arguably the most exiting (and surprising) addition to the game by far in the new update, there’s also the usual bug fixes, weapon balance adjustments, and general quality-of-life tweaks. You can find the complete patch notes right here, if you fancy reading up on everything that’s new.
In other Call Of Duty news, a few industrious players have come up with an incredibly clever way to get the edge during Gulag 1v1s. A lot of hardcore players might well have already been aware of this trick, but it’s a pretty handy little maneuver for any newcomers struggling with the battle royale. You can find out more about that right here.
