‘Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare’ Offering Double XP To End Season 2

If, like me, you’ve been spending a hideous amount of your quarantine time playing huge amounts of , then you’ll be ecstatic to know that Activision have deemed it fit to bless us with another bout of double XP this weekend for , and to round off Season 2 of the multiplayer before we jump into Season 3.

As reported by CharlieIntel, simple double XP isn’t all for multiplayer though dear reader, oh no. We’ll also be getting double weapon XP, and double XP on tier progression for those still chasing the last few unlocks on the second season pass.

As for timings, it looks like we’ll be getting the little treat on April 3rd (Friday to me and you) at 6pm and will last through to April 6th (Monday) at the same time.

The XP comes as a way to round off Season 2, when the current Battle Pass ends on April 7th. The 100 tier pass takes a lot of time and dedication to get through, so it’s a nice little boost that will make the weekend actually feel like a weekend. Jump online with the squad and grind out those last few unlocks and weapon attachments before starting afresh with Season 3. Lovely job.

In addition, the Activision Blog confirmed that a new Cyber Attack Pro playlist will be landing this week, to give fans something new to try. According to the blog, players will be able to “up your game in Cyber Attack Pro, which inserts an added twist into this already tactical objective mode. Now, instead of needing to revive your teammates, respawns are enabled, creating frenetic and fast-paced gameplay. Find the balance between completing the objective and eliminating enemies.”

In other Call Of Duty news, a trailer for the campaign leaked out of the blue via the German PlayStation Store with many outlets reporting that the game would be landing officially this week. Indeed, it’s already been downloaded and streamed live by eager beaver players on sites like Twitch. We should expect more on that front in the coming hours and days, but until then, fill your boots with that juicy XP.

EA’s New ‘Rocket Arena’ Is More Than Another Battle Royale

BY THEREDNOW STAFF Y’know when games get revealed and they don’t really do it for you, at the first time of asking? I definitely got the impression that, after its spot on this year’s EA Play presentation, that has firmly fallen into that category. What was shown off covered some key bases: this is a […]
