'Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 3' Remaster Coming Next, Rumour Suggests

Activision is reportedly working on a remastered version of 2011’s in an apparent move to slap a new coat of paint on the entire original Modern Warfare trilogy. 2007’s was remastered in 2016, while the campaign for 2009’s was just recently remastered as a surprise addition to the 2019 reboot.

This latest rumour comes from TheGamingRevolution, a leaker with a fairly solid track record when it comes to reporting on all things Call Of Duty. They only recently claimed that was on the way, for instance. They were very much on the money with that one, as we now know, and they’re now claiming that isn’t too far behind.

Unfortunately, TheGamingRevolution isn’t entirely sure when will drop. I’d imagine we can expect the game to arrive in a similar fashion to , in that it’ll be the game’s campaign only, with any remastered multiplayer maps arriving as part of the main game’s ongoing free content drops.

I’m also expecting that Activision will once again only officially announce the remaster a few hours ahead of release. You know, after a bunch of leakers, ratings databases, and dataminers have already proved beyond all doubt that the game exists.

For now, we’ll just have to wait and see if any further evidence trickles out – which I’m almost certain it will. is currently available to play right now (yeah? yeah!) on PS4. Unfortunately for those of you on Xbox One and PC, you’ll have to wait till April 30th. No, I don’t get the logic behind that one either.

Oh, and while we’re on the subject of TheGamingRevolution and Activision leaks, they recently suggested that the publisher has plenty more remasters in the works beyond Call Of Duty. Specifically, it sounds like we can expect at least one Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater remaster, as well as more Spyro and Crash Bandicoot remasters.

They’ve also claimed that Infinity Ward is working on a sequel to 2019’s reboot, which I’m sure won’t get confusing quickly. Given that we now have (2007), and (2019)we should probably call the upcoming sequel anything other than .

EA’s New ‘Rocket Arena’ Is More Than Another Battle Royale

BY THEREDNOW STAFF Y’know when games get revealed and they don’t really do it for you, at the first time of asking? I definitely got the impression that, after its spot on this year’s EA Play presentation, that has firmly fallen into that category. What was shown off covered some key bases: this is a […]
