Ten Of The Best Aussie Comedians Will Have Their Stand Up Shows Streamed On Amazon

Amid the coronavirus pandemic, loads of people are looking for ways to cheer themselves up.

Well, if you’re looking to have a chuckle then you’ll be pleased to know that some of Australia’s best comedians will have their stand-up shows available to stream on Amazon Prime Video.

You’ll get to sit back and howl with laughter over legends like Celia Pacquola, Judith Lucy, Tom Gleeson, Tommy Little and Colin Lane and Frank Woodley (Lano & Woodley).

The comedy specials will be landing on the streaming service from April 10, but they won’t all arrive at once.

The first two stand-up shows that will arrive will be Zoë Coombs Marr’s ‘Bossy Bottom’ and Celia Pacquola’s ‘All Talk’.

Zoe has been crowned the winner of the Barry Award for Most Outstanding Show, performed at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival 2016 and won the Golden Gibbo Award for Best Independent Show.

Celia has been nominated for the Melbourne Comedy Festival Award for Most Outstanding Show and won Best Comedy Performer at the Helpmann Awards last year.

The week after, Friday April 17, we’ll get to feast on Tommy Little’s show ‘Self-Diagnosed Genius’ and Alice Fraser’s ‘Savage’.

On Friday April 24, viewers will be able to stream ‘Judith Lucy vs Men’ and Dilruk Jayasinha’s ‘Live’ show.

Judith Lucy won the People’s Choice Award at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival in 2017 as well as Best Comedy Performer at the 2015 Helpmann Awards.

Lano & Woodley’s ‘Fly’ will debut on Amazon Prime on Friday May 1 as well as Tom Walker’s ‘Very Very’.

If your sides haven’t spilt from laughing by then, then you’ll get two more hilarious comedians on May 8: Anne Edmonds with ‘What’s Wrong With You?’ and Tom Gleeson’s ‘Joy’.
