KFC Is Doing Free Delivery For Australians This Long Weekend

With many in self-isolation at the moment, it’s an easy option to order food from your favourite takeaway joint.

While cooking at home can be fun because you could explore a new recipe, takeout is brilliant for when you’re just not bothered.

Well, KFC Australia wants to make that easier by offering free delivery this Easter long weekend.

The finger licking good fast food company has teamed up with Menulog to ensure that customers will only pay for the stuff they’re going to eat and drink.

From Thursday, all you have to do to access the deal is order your food on the Menulog app or website and chuck in the code ‘KFCatHOME’ at the checkout and, boom, there’s your free delivery.

You’re probably wondering where the catch is and you have to spend more than $30 at a participating KFC restaurant. If you’re ordering for you, your partner, housemates or family, that shouldn’t be too hard.

KFC Australia CMO Kristi Woolrych said: “Just because things are a bit different this year doesn’t mean Aussies shouldn’t be able to treat themselves, so KFC has your household covered with free delivery via Menulog.

“We can’t think of a better treat to enjoy this extra-long weekend than having a KFC meal during your staycation.

“Whether you’re feeding your rowdy school-holidays family, or making the most of the time-off with housemates or your significant other, we hope that the free delivery offer helps to make your long-weekend a treat for everyone.

It will no doubt help loads of people who will have to bunker down during the Easter long weekend.

Hundreds of thousands of Aussies usually will take a trip around their city, state, country or even go overseas during this time, however we’ve been told to stay inside for our safety.

KFC Australia had to shut its dine-in restaurants to prevent the spread of the coronavirus.

In a statement, the company said: “In difficult times, it’s the little things that make us feel normal – like enjoying your favourite meal. Which is why KFC has been working so hard to keep our kitchens open, no matter what happens with Covid-19.

“KFC has always held ourselves to the highest possible standards of cleanliness – this is more important than ever.

“Every KFC staff member is getting special Covid-19 training and we’ve already introduced extra cleaning of surfaces.”

So, if you’re hankering for some chicken this weekend, you won’t have to pay delivery.
