Police Officers Chase Escaped Pig Around A Garden For 45 Minutes

A pig gave police officers the run-around for 45 minutes before they eventually trapped it in a rubbish bin. This whole incident is made even better for the fact that the police officers were wearing body cameras, so the whole hilarious incident was captured on video.

What a time to be alive.

Putting aside the obvious jokes about police officers chasing around after a loose pig, just watch the video. It’s absolutely class.

Basically, three police officers from Stamford, Connecticut, were called out on Friday night to attempt to capture the runaway pig, but they soon discovered that they had their work cut out for them.

Officers Michael Nguyen, Louis Vidal and Nicholas Gelonesi spent ages sprinting around the back garden of the property chasing after the large black pig.

Luckily, they saw the funny side of the whole thing.

More fortunate for the pig, the officers didn’t just decide to use their weapons and instead managed to grab the animal in a garbage can, after a lengthy pursuit.

Before that, one of the officers tried to catch the animal by throwing the can at it – seriously, was that ever likely to work – but obviously failed, much to the delight of his fellow policemen.

As the video ends, the officers had finally made the pig their prisoner, entrapped inside the plastic bin. However, as one of them can be heard to remark: “Now what do we do?”

What, indeed?

Well, it turns out that the animal is now resting safe and comfortable at the Stamford Animal Control and Care Center while the police try to locate its rightful owner.

Judging by some of the photographs, the fight for freedom took as much out of the poor pig as it did out of the hapless police officers.
