'The Witcher Season 2 Cast And Crew Hold Epic Bake-Off During Delay

While we wait for season two of Netflix’s to resume production, the cast and crew of the live-action fantasy show have decided to keep occupied by engaging in an epic online bake-off. After all, they say a Witcher carries two eclairs. One of custard for creatures that roam the wild. One of cream for humans in their city of stone. Both are for dessert.

As spotted by GamesRadar, this heated competition all started when casting director Sophie Holland baked a rather lovely looking loaf of bread. She then threw down the oven mitt on Twitter, so to speak, and challenged Paul Bullion to get baking. Bullion, of course, will be playing Geralt’s fellow Witcher Lambert in season two of the show.

Bullion (who funnily enough played a character with the surname Kitchen in ) soon hit back with some gorgeous cinnamon rolls. However, he didn’t just share a normal video of his baked goods coming out of the oven. No, he went full-on Witcher training session with it, and I love him for it.

See for yourself below.

Anyway, the whole thing kind of took off from there. Tom Canton, returning for season 2 as Filavandrel, put together a beef wellington that’s pushed my New Year’s resolution not to eat meat to the absolute limit. This then inspired Jeremy Crawford, who’ll be playing dwarven warrior Yarpen Zigrin, to craft and apple pie that he then sliced with an axe. That’s metal af.

showrunner Lauren S. Hissrich soon came in with a meatloaf, although questioned whether that qualifies for a bake-off (I’d allow it). Adele Oni (Téa) made some Zerrikanean Chilli-Chocolate bites, while newcomers Mecia Simson and Yasen Atour (season 2’s Francesca and Coën) also got involved with some tasty looking baked goods

Take a look at some of their creations below. You might even find yourself inspired to pick up a blade and slay some fruit in the name of a nice crumble.

Everyone who got involved is obviously an amazing and wonderful human being, but extra special love should go to Holland for kicking off such a wholesome chain of events. Now we just need to wait for Henry Cavill to stop playing with his Warhammer and storm the competition with a mindblowing roulade.

EA’s New ‘Rocket Arena’ Is More Than Another Battle Royale

BY THEREDNOW STAFF Y’know when games get revealed and they don’t really do it for you, at the first time of asking? I definitely got the impression that, after its spot on this year’s EA Play presentation, that has firmly fallen into that category. What was shown off covered some key bases: this is a […]
