Now that has been announced, I’m sure we’re all wondering the same thing. Specifically, could the return of the long-dormant skater franchise lead to more, hopefully brand-new entries? According to developer Vicarious Visions, it’s not a possibility that can be ruled out completely.
GAMINGbible spoke to Vicarious Visions Chief Operating Officer Simon Ebejer ahead of ‘s reveal. While stressing that the entire team is (understandably) focused on delivering right now, he suggested that we could get more as long as the appetite from the fans is there.
“I’ve gotta tell you from a developer perspective and someone who has worked on Tony Hawk games in one way or another at various points throughout my career I’m super focused right now on making awesome,” he explained. “But I’d always be super excited to continue to work on Tony Hawk content for as long as people want it.”

As for whether we could see remasters of or ? Ebejer wouldn’t say, but it certainly sounds like future remasters could be on the cards eventually – again though, I’m sure it all boils down to how well the upcoming release does.
“If you’re gonna kick this off, start from the beginning,” Ebejer said. ” was one of the most iconic games in the series – you have to start from the beginning. So why not have as a part of it? We wanted to just package them together and kick things off from the beginning with “
is headed to PS4, Xbox One, and PC on September 4th. It’ll feature all the original pro skaters and levels, as well as most of the songs. In addition, we can expect online and local multiplayer, as well as a robust selection of park and skater creation features. I’m pretty damn excited, if truth be told.
