According to state information agency KCNA, the North Korean totalitarian went to the introduction of a new fertilizer plant in the country’s funding, Pyongyang – the very first record of the leader’s activities considering that 11 April.

According to reports, Kim – who was there with several of his government authorities – stated that he was delighted with the new factory as well as that it stood for the development being made by the country.

According to The Telegraph, an official at South Korea’s unification ministry said the current regime’s trend of demystification is ‘noteworthy’.

The official told the Yonhap news agency: “It appears to stress patriotism and love for the people rather than mystification of the leaders.”

Kim Jong-un has reportedly been focusing on showing his more human side, following the failure to reach an agreement in a second summit with US President Donald Trump last year.

Urging the people of North Korea to avoid the mystification of their leader, after negotiations with the US broke down Kim was quoted as saying in state media: “Mystifying a leader’s revolutionary activity and appearance would result in covering the truth.”

He added: “Absolute loyalty would spring up when (they) are mesmerised by the leader humanly and comradely.”

Earlier this month, Kim made his first public appearance since rumours began circulating of his death.

The news report claimed that the 36-year-old cut the ribbon at the ceremony on Friday 30 April, and that those who attended the event burst out into ‘thunderous’ cheers of ‘hurrah!’ for the country’s Supreme Leader.

According to reports, Kim – who was there with several of his government officials – stated that he was happy with the new factory and that it represented the progress being made by the country.

Speaking about the new report, Trump said: “I’d rather not comment on it yet.

“We’ll have something to say about it at the appropriate time.”
