Woman, 93, Gets 150 Cans Of Beer Delivered To Her Door After Holding Up 'I Need Beer' Sign

An elderly woman who was trending around the world for her hilarious sign has been given an epic gift.

Olive Veronesi, 93, has been cooped up indoors recently at her home in Seminole, Pennsylvania, where locals have been told to stay at home to help stop the spread of coronavirus.

But all this time at home has resulted in one sad predicament: she’s running out of beer.

To remedy this situation, Olive grabbed her miniature whiteboard and scrawled a message on it so that someone could help.

“I NEED MORE BEER!!” her message read.

A relative of Olive’s then took an amusing snap of her grinning away with the sign, holding a can of Coors Light beer.

The picture started trending on all the major social media platforms and it seems like word has reached brewing company Coors Light.

The makers of the beer decided to gift Ms Veronesi a couple of cases, containing 150 cans of beer, which should do her for a while.

She didn’t muck around when the Coors delivery arrived and knocked back a cold one on her porch.

Speaking to KDKA-TV, Olive said: “I was on my last 12 cans, I have a beer every night, you know what, beer has vitamins in it, it’s good for you, as long as you don’t overdo it.”

Love that energy.

Molson Coors’ Mark Linder said about the delivery: “My associate and I put in 10 cases of beer, and drove up, and made sure Olive got her beer so she can continue her healthy regimen of a Coors light a day.”

The 93-year-old said she was trying to do the responsible thing by staying at home and is overwhelmed by the response to her cheeky photo.

Olive’s relative uploaded the original photo onto social media and it didn’t take long before it attracted the attention of some local news organisations.

KDKA-TV popped down to visit the 93-year-old, and also shared her photo on its Facebook page, where it’s racked up another 45,000 shares and 24,000 likes.

It’s comforting to know that Olive will have enough beer to last her for nearly half a year if she sticks to her ‘one a night’ rule.
