'Cyberpunk 2077' Xbox Controller Apparently Leaked On Amazon
CD Projekt Red has already assured us that won’t be delayed by the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic so that means we’re still on track for a release date of September 17. So far, so good but that’s still a few months away yet. And if you’re just itching to get your hands on anything related, you might want to cast your eyes over the tweet below.
Twitter user @Lbabinz took to the social media platform to show off what he’d found while browsing Amazon Canada. A Limited Edition Xbox One controller has been listed there, though it is currently showing as out of stock and there is no price attached to it either.
“Amazon has a listing for a Limited Edition Xbox One Controller, set to release May 4. Not live for pre-order yet,” reads the tweet, which you can see below.
The seller is Microsoft and the release date – which you can find if you scroll down the page a little – is indeed set for May 4. A quick scan of Amazon UK yielded no results, as did Amazon US. So perhaps it’s been listed on the Canadian Amazon early by mistake. Either way, May 4 is only a couple of weeks away so we should find out for sure soon enough.
Of course, if you were lucky enough to get your hands on one of Nvidia’s extremely limited edition Cyberpunk 2077 GeForce RTX 2080 Ti graphics cards, you’re probably not going to get a lot of use out of an Xbox One controller. But if you’re into collector’s items or you just want an incredibly cool looking new controller, then it’s probably worthwhile keeping an eye on that listing over the next few weeks.

In related news – and in case you missed it – CD Projekt Red has confirmed that it will start work on a new Witcher game this year. In an interview with president Adam Kiciński, it was revealed that a “relatively clear concept” was already in place for the next Witcher game, and that production on it would start “immediately” after the studio’s current game-in-the-works was released.
And more recently, CD Projekt Red has donated $1 million to help with the fight against the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. The studio’s co-founder and joint-CEO, Marcin Iwinski has this to say on the matter. “We’d like to thank all the brave souls who fight for our well-being every day and hope these funds help in your effort to rid us of the virus.”
