Huge Bird Eyes Up Pet Dogs Through Window After Streets Left Empty Due To Lockdown
A couple of huge condors were caught on camera seemingly eyeing up a group of toy poodles through an apartment window.
The footage shows the two massive birds landing on the window ledge outside a woman’s apartment and strutting up and down as the dogs bark furiously and wag their tails.
As the video goes on it seems as though the two birds, which are thought to be South American Andean Condors (or vultur gryphus to give them their Latin name), are trying to find a way in to the apartment, one of the them even begins to peck the glass with its beak.
Since the clip was shared many people have speculated that the pair of birds were hoping to chow down on the pups.
The clip, which was reportedly filmed in Chile, was posted on Tik-Tok by user Gabriela Leonardi and has been shared widely online.
According to reports in local media, the dogs were unharmed after the incident, but I can imagine they probably don’t fancy going outside any time soon.
The birds can have a wing span of up 3.3 metres (10ft 10in) and, according to local media, are scavengers that usually live off food left behind and wasted by people. However the Andean Condors will now be going hungry as people stay at home during the coronavirus lockdown.
