Pair Avoid Serious Harm After Turtle Crashes Through Their Car Window

At first, the set found what looked to be a block speeding towards their cars and truck via the air, yet when Lark began to slow down, the projectile – which transformed out to be a turtle – ruined the front window.
Grant said: “When the glass damaged, the initial thing that came to my mind was just to protect myself, so it was just like, you recognize, transform and just cover,”
The car itself was in negative shape and the Chatham County Police had to call the tow truck to obtain it out of the roadway.
Lark thinks that one more car might have struck the turtle initially and also sent it flying to the air, before it eventually clashed with their cars and truck.
Luckily, he was not seriously injured and suffered only minor cuts, according to WSAV-TV.
However, the turtle was not so lucky, and died from its injuries at a local animal hospital later on.

The car itself was in bad shape and the Chatham County Police had to call the tow truck to get it out of the road.
The officer also had to perform the grim task of extracting the poor creature from the car’s front.
Lark reckons that another car might have hit the turtle first and sent it flying to the air, before it eventually collided with their car.
She explained: “Even the police officer said if that glass wasn’t as thick as it was and I didn’t slow down the way I did when I saw the object coming, it would’ve been disastrous.”
Now, she’s launched a fundraiser to help offset the costs that she’s incurred from this strange and unusual incident.
She claims she’s had to take days off work because her ‘anxiety was high’ and so was her ‘blood sugar’.
So far, it’s not going that well. She’s only raised $20 of her original $650 goal.
You have to wonder how you would explain such an incident to an insurance company in the first place.
It’s probably not every day that they receive a claim which includes the cost of fixing a perfect turtle-shaped hole from the front windscreen of a car.
Well, you’d hope it’s not every day, anyway.
