Jamie Foxx Bulks Up To Play Mike Tyson In Biopic

Jamie Foxx has been putting his quarantine to good use by bulking up as he prepares to play boxing icon Mike Tyson in his new movie.
The biopic has been in pre-production for years now, but it seems that 52-year-old Foxx is well on his way to start filming, even giving us a look at his transformation.
As you can see from the video above, Foxx looks ready to get into the ring, after he showed his new frame during an episode of Catching Up with Mark Birnbaum on Instagram.
Tyson, who is now 53 years old, confirmed that he’d be played by Foxx in a film and would be using CGI to show him at some of the heavyweight stages of his life.
And if you’re wondering how he got there, it’s down to that top secret bulking tip – hard work and sticking to an eating plan.
In the video, Foxx explains that he does a workout every other day of 60 pull ups, 60 dips, 100 push ups, and more.
He said: “And then just the technology of how I’m gonna look, I guarantee you people will run up on me in the street, and ask for autographs, and think that I’m Mike.”
Speaking to Mark, he said: “It’s changing the body. Top half.”
And what about leg day? Well there’s no plan for that at the moment.
He added: “I ain’t got no legs, I ain’t got no calf muscles so we’re gonna have to get some prosthetics for that.”
Foxx explained that he’ll be 216 pounds when he plays young Mike, and then when he plays older Mike, he’ll ‘balloon to 225, 230 which will look like 250 on screen’.
And although Foxx will be portraying the legend, Tyson himself proved he’s still got it recently.
Last month, he bizarrely promised to return with the ‘spirit of Chairman Mao’ if he makes a comeback to boxing in a video showing off his impressive hand speed:
He had already caused shock waves with a video showing off his training for an unlikely comeback and he has added more fuel to the fire in a video announcing his return to the Chinese social media platform Weibo.
In the video, a topless Tyson says: “Hey I’m Mike Tyson, I’m on Weibo now, I’ll let you know there’s a possibility I might come back, but if I do I’m going to fight with the spirit of Mao.”
He then flexes his right arm, where he has a tattoo of the former Chinese dictator, before throwing a series of his trademark power punches with impressive speed.
