Eddie Hall Shows Off Abs Transformation After Doing 100 Sit-Ups A Day

BY THEREDNOW STAFF

Eddie Hall has shown off his incredible transformation after challenging himself to do 100 sit-ups every day for 30 days, ahead of his boxing match with Hafþór ‘Thor’ Björnsson next year.

Like many people, Hall has been using lockdown to try and get in shape, having decided to work on shedding a few pounds rather building muscle mass as he’s more well-known for.

He documented the health kick on his YouTube channel, where he explained he’d been increased his cardio and also doing 100 sit-ups each day.

“Now I’m going to start dropping bodyweight and getting fit,” Hall said at the beginning of the video.

I’m going to attempt 100 sit-ups. I don’t think I’ll get there, but it’s a building process – Rome wasn’t built in a day!

So I’m going to try and do 100 sit-ups every day, a little bit of boxing work and then I’m going to go for a bike ride and start dropping the pounds.

I am currently today 386lbs, which is 175kg. English terms? About 27 and three-quarter stone, so just shy of 28 stone.

Five days into the challenge, Hall admitted he was finding it ‘really, really hard’, saying to camera: “I find myself getting to about 40-45 reps and then I really slow it down.”

But he also said he’d already noticed the change in his body, thanks also to dropping his calorie intake and doing ‘a lot more cardio’.

He added: “I feel as though very, very quickly, it’s starting to come off.”

As the days progressed, it sounds like things also got a lot easier for Hall, who ended up changing tack – doing as many sit-ups as he could in one go, before finishing the rest in a second batch to take him up to 100.

And by the looks of his visible six-pack, his efforts have paid off.

“I’m currently 166 kilos,” he said at the end of the video.

So I anticipate I’ve lost around eight kilos, so about a stone and a quarter in English terms.

“I feel great for it. I feel absolutely fantastic. All the excess fat’s gone, my abs have come out massively, so I’m really, really happy with the results.”

Of course, while Hall may have been prompted to shed some weight for personal reasons, he said it also had something to do with his forthcoming fight with Björnsson, which will take place in Las Vegas in September 2021.

“I’ve got to bring it all down,” he said of his body weight.

“As you all know, before I started this video, I’m now on a mission to fight Thor.

“I don’t think I’m going to be going in the ring at 160+ kilos. It’d be a bit silly anyway, I think me and Thor both need to drop in bodyweight so we’re both fit to do three-minute rounds, step in the ring and give the boxing sport the respect it deserves.”
