Woman Shares Four-Ingredient Recipe For Biscoff Cheesecake

During this period of lockdown, people are finding the time to do things they wouldn’t normally.

Everyone seems to be able to run five kilometres in as many minutes, some people are managing to learn a new language and many are giving baking a whirl.

If the latter isn’t your thing but you do want to have a crack, this recipe for Biscoff cheesecake could be the one for you – mainly because it’s simple, as there’s only four ingredients needed.

The next time you’re doing your (essential) big shop it might be worth adding these things to your list: Biscoff spread, Biscott biscuits, butter and soft cheese.

An amateur baker shared the recipe on the Extreme Couponing & Bargains Facebook group and the response was pretty good.

After she was asked for the recipe, the brains behind it wrote: “Packet of Biscoff biscuits and crush them, add 2 spoons of melted butter, mix it together and press into dish.

“Leave in the fridge for a couple of hours and then mix a full 200g tub of soft cheese with 200g Biscoff spread, add it on top of your biscuit base.

“Leave in the fridge for 3-4 hours to set. I added more crushed Biscoff biscuits round the edge and put two biscuits on top but that is optional.”

Replying to the post, one person wrote: “OMG I need to make this,” while another added: “I made them for the first time the other day they were gorgeous.”

Tagging a pal in the post, a third person commented: “Something easy for u to make.”

If you don’t have a sweet tooth and want to have a go at something a little more savoury, Greggs has shared its sausage and bean melt recipe.

The popular bakery let people in on the best way to make the fan favourite – all you’ll need is beans and bangers (usually tinned together, you know the kind), some cheese, puff pastry and an egg.

Simple but effective, once again.

You might be best whacking your oven on first (Greggs tells us to put it at 180°C which equates to gas mark 4), then you want to cut out two squares of pastry and egg wash the edges.

Put the bean and sausage duo into a bowl and get squishing with a fork before popping the mixture in the middle of the pastry (leaving some room where the egg wash is).

Sprinkle your cheese on top of the beans and pop your identical square of pastry on top. Then you need to press your fork down on the edges of the square you’ve created to seal the parcel.

Do a final egg wash across the entire bake-to-be and throw it/them (depending on how many you’re making) into the oven for 20 minutes – or until golden brown/piping hot throughout.
